With the GYMBOSS you just set the intervals, set the amount of cycles or sets, clip it on your waist, press start, and off you go.  The GYMBOSS will beep or vibrate to signal when to perform the work intervals and when to rest for the rest intervals.  It will also signal the end of the interval workout by beeping or vibrating multiple times.  If you don't own an interval timer I highly recommend getting one to improve the performance of your interval workouts.  I personally own a GYMBOSS interval timer and I would never do intervals without it.

Video Demonstration of the GYMBOSS Interval Timer

For simplicity and time purposes of the demo I have set the interval timer to 3 sets of 10 second work intervals followed by 5 second rest intervals.  The interval timer will beep in between the work intervals and rest intervals.  After the 3 sets are complete the interval timer will beep multiple times to signal the end of the workout.

You will notice that the 3 sets are displayed on the left and the 10 second work interval is displayed on top of the 5 second rest interval.  During the demo the interval timer will countdown the sets and intervals then reset itself when finished.
